Rev. Oscar Efrain Vega, born September 21, 1933, in El Salvador, Central America, passed away peacefully in Port Orchard, Washington on September 14, 2023.
He was one of ten siblings. Oscar was a dedicated student and worked to support his family from a young age.
His faith journey began at the First Baptist Church of San Salvador, where he became a youth leader. He married Sara Aguilar, and they had five children.
Oscar's connection to his homeland remained strong. He organized medical missions, supported widows, the needy, and brought much joy to children.
He is survived by his children Sara Vega-Evans ( Robert), Oscar A. Vega, Ruth Loihle (Todd), and Patricia Bovey (Roger), 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, three sisters, and his wife, Nohemy Vega.
