Oswald Rodstol

Mr. Oswald H. Rodstol died on August 19, 2001, at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington. Mr. Rodstol had been born September 14, 1906 in Alesund, Norway, to Ole and Pernille (Sather) Rodstol. He attended Vashon Island High School in Washington.Mr. Rodstol served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He later worked as a Pressman at a plywood mill in Seattle, Washington for thirty four years. He retired in 1967.Mr. Rodstol enjoyed fishiing and hunting.He is survived by four brothers, Laurence of Seattle; Harry of Wenatchee, Washington; Henry of Olympia, Washington; and Leonard of Southworth, Washington. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Westlund; and a brother, Olaf Rodstol.A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2001, at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Pastor Frank Schoonover will officiate.Burial will follow at Sedgwick Cemetery.Funeral arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
