Pamela Joy Reinhardt

August 4, 1958 — September 10, 2023

Pamela Joy Reinhardt was born to Gerald (Buck) and Joyce Lay August 4, 1958 in Bremerton, WA. She lived her entire life in South Kitsap and graduated from South Kitsap High School. Pam was active serving in various roles, in her church as worship team member, secretary, women’s ministry leader, and deaconess, as a homeschooling parent, as a 4H club leader and as Vice President of Kitsap Saddle Club. She loved training and riding her horses. Pam married David Reinhardt April 3, 1976 and has two Daughters Kari Green (Andrew) and Coni Bauer (Jacob).
Pam was a person of action. She was a deaconess, in the choir and a leader in Pioneer Club at church. When moved to a closer church Pam found that on Wednesdays the pastoral staff was not able to take time for an evening meal. So Pam organized people to provide the staff meals each Wednesday. When moved to an even closer church Pam sang with the worship team, was a women’s ministry leader, worked in the office and organized several large events for the church. She saw that people were struggling for food and organized a “Gods Pantry” where people could come for food when in need. Pam worked as a volunteer church secretary for several years at another church, where she also participated in leading worship, facilitating soccer camp and helping the staff organize events.
Pam was also active in the KITSAP SADDLE CLUB voted member of the year multiple times. She was on the board as a Finance Chairman and the vice president. She led a fundraising campaign to make arena improvements created a system to continue maintenance of the arena. Pam competed in play days worked as an announcer and stood as ring steward several times. Pam created an Older Horse show for horses more than 20 years of age. Her own Tabasco was more than 20. Pam loved her horses, Tabasco and Snickers. Tabasco lived to 32 years because of her care for him. Pam trained Snickers from a colt. When she was done she sent him to a professional trainer for 60 days. The trainer said that he was really just riding the horse because Pam had done such a good job.
Pam owned ROLLING R TACK A successful saddle and tack business in a red trailer converted into a tack shop and went to events to sell merchandise.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother Joyce, brother Mike Lay and great grandson Bjorn Dewayne Wilton.
She is survived by Her dad Buck, Brother Jerry Lay (Sandy) husband David, daughters Kari Green (Andrew) and Coni Bauer (Jacob) 10 Grandchildren Tiffani, Scott, Daniel (Makenzy), Pamela, Caleb, Gabriel, Megan, Abigail, Josiah and Caitlyn. One great granddaughter Anna.
A Celebration of Pam’s Life took place on September 23, 2023.
