Pate Melvin Peavy

Pate Melvin Peavy, 86, of Port Orchard, died June 23, 2015 leaving his wife Edena; brother Donald G. Peavy; sisters Billie Jean Despain, Margie Ruth Firth, and Diane Herrington.
After serving in the U S. Navy aboard the carrier USS Boxer, Pate came to Bremerton and worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until retiring in 1984. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
At his request, there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made in Pate’s memory to Hospice of Kitsap County ( www.hospicekc.org ).
