Patricia Anne Andrzejewski

August 20, 1954 — July 29, 2022

Patricia Anne Andrzejewski returned to her heavenly home on July 29th after a lifelong battle of having a heart that was too big to contain her love for her family. She loved change and was always traveling, journeying from state to state with wide open blue eyes and a carefree agenda.

Some of her best memories can be found across 4 states. Washington, where she had her oldest daughter, Denise, and graduated from Auburn Senior High School Class of 1972.

Alaska, where she had David, Jon, Teresa, Jeremiah, and Jordan, and met and married the love of her life Donald Andrzejewski. This is also where Patty discovered her love of quilting and gardening.

California, where she found inspiration in the calming ocean shores as her youngest children hit their fun teen years. Also known as Andrzejewski/Thompson/Bykonen/Widman family as the household once was. She honed her craft while working at fabric stores until 2007, when she was first diagnosed with heart complications and out of necessity slowed travel down.

After testing out the gateway to the south, Don and Patty found even calmer shores in Brookings, Oregon. Patty adored the quiet life there and frequented the beach with their beloved low rider dachshund Cinnamon. Patty enjoyed being closer to her grandkids Grace, Charlotte, Gabriel and Samson and took so much pride in the milestones of her children as they flourished across states; established new families, relationships and built careers of their own. Ultimately, the green of Washington called her back and Don and Patty relocated to Port Orchard, WA near her daughters.

She created cherished memories with her beloved grandchildren and flourished in her role as grandma. She was overcome with joy when her youngest daughter gave birth to Willow in the fall of 2021, who she spent her last year helping care for. As Don and Patty enjoyed their retirement, they bought a trailer and enjoyed fishing in Sekiu with her brothers in the beautiful summers. She never lost her love of quilting and gardening, and will always be remembered as someone who wanted to watch everything around her grow. Her favorite items cover her beach themed house: blue glass, her bible she read every day, family photos, and personal quilts and crafts she made.

Patty was loved and adored, and the shock of her loss has been felt across the United States by those who knew her. No one preceded Patty in death as this farewell was one that nobody was ready for. She is survived by her husband Donald Andrzejewski, her children Denise Widman, David (Nicole) Thompson, Jonathan (Brittany), Teresa (Larry) Barton, Jeremiah Thompson and Jordan/Jordon Bykonen and her grandchildren, Grace, Charlotte, Gabriel, Samson and Willow. In addition, her siblings Mike and Marilee Bykonen, Tut Bykonen, Lisa and Mark Stalter, Fred Bykonen.

A private funeral service will be held for immediate family. Flowers can be sent to the home of Donald Andrzejewski or Teresa Barton.
