Patricia Baxter

Patricia Margaret Morgan Baxter, 73 of Poulsbo, died in Bremerton on May 28, 2012.  She was born September 2, 1938 in Port Angeles, WA to Gerald & Clara (Brown) Morgan.  She graduated from South Kitsap High in 1956 and married William Earl Baxter on February 25, 1961.  He preceded her in death in 1994. Patricia worked as a bookkeeper in the family business “Baxter Farms” in Port Orchard for 40 years, retiring in 2006.  She was a supermom extraordinaire with her kids calling her to this day, just to chat.  We will miss her encouragement, wisdom, and support which gave her joy and we loved her for it.  We stand in amazement at her life well lived.  Patricia was an avid quilter and enjoyed music and the arts.  The primary focus of her life was her kids and grandkids – she went to hundreds of baseball games, musicals, track meets, and wherever they were, she went.  She was everyone’s favorite cheerleader.  She was a member of Central Kitsap Presbyterian church in Bremerton. Surviving are sons Bill (Denise) Baxter of Poulsbo, WA and Roy (Kirsten) Baxter of Palmer, AK; daughter Angela (Ron) Bettencourt of Mukilteo, WA; brother Jim (Barbara) Morgan of North Bend, WA; grandchildren Jacob, Andy, Matt, Aaron  &  Jordan Bettencourt, Will & Amy Baxter. Memorial service at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312.  Reception following at Noon at Eagle’s Nest at Kitsap County Fairgrounds, 1200 NW Fairgrounds, Bremerton, WA.
