Patricia L. Foote, 68, died at her home in Port Orchard on November 6, 2008. She was born in Shelton, Washington on June 11, 1940 to Duane and Evelyn (Heyer) Ryan. She married David L. Foote in Hastings, Michigan on August 25, 1975. Patricia graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1958 and received an Associate’s Degree in Child Development from Grand Valley State College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1981. She worked as a Child Care Administrator in various places until her retirement in 2000, and was a devoted Naval Officer's wife from 1975 until 1996. She is a past member of Kiwanis of Bremerton, past president of ROWA member and past Grand Ya-Ya of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing was an avid reader and master Gardner, but mostly a loving wife and guardian angel. She is survived by her loving husband, David; sons John Johnson, Jr. (Kate) of Temecula, California, Cash Smallwood (Natalie) of Pasco, Washington, Christopher Foote (Cristy) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Matthew Foote of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Eve Brothers (Mark) of Hartland, Wisconsin and Janet Crandall (Carter) of Hertford, North Carolina; brothers Mike and Danny Ryan of Port Orchard and Tom Ryan of Puyallup; Cathie Locicero of New Mexico, Lura Sheahan (Larry) of Steilacoom, Washington, and Shauna Peterson of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren Brynn and Narina Brothers, Taylor Johnson, Connor Crandall, Haley and Tegan Smallwood and Gillian Foote. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 12 at 1:00 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made in her name to United Way or your favorite charity.
