Patricia Morris

Patti Morris, 62 of Port Orchard, Washington passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2010. Wife of Michael Morris and daughter of the late Joe and Juanita Groszek.  Mrs Morris enjoyed mystery novels, crossword puzzles, photography, camping and fishing. She served as a corrections officer with Kitsap County for 30 years prior to retirement, and held the distinction of being its first female sergeant.  Mrs Morris leaves her sister Georgia Maas of Kent, WA; daughter Lara Garrison, of Rio Dell, CA; her daughter Rebecca Morris of Rio Dell, CA; and her sons Frank and Cliff Rusk of Port Orchard, WA. Leaving seven grandchildren and one great grandson, Morris was preceded in death by her brother Tom Groszek.  Services will be held on Friday, Sept 17 at 3 pm at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA. A small reception will be held afterwards at the Morris residence. An informal gathering will be held at the Hi-Tide Tavern on Thursday Sept 16 at 6:30 pm. Interment in Tahoma National Cemetary, Kent, WA Monday, Sept 20 at 1:45 pm. The family requests that memorial donations be made to St Vincent De Paul Women's Shelter of Bremerton, WA.
