Patricia Elizabeth Myers, 82, of Port Orchard died Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Orchard Pointe Memory Care Center surrounded by family. Born on November 30, 1935 in Bremerton, to Jerry (Nels) and Blanche Garno, she was the youngest of seven children.
Pat attended West High where she met the love of her life Tom (Ozzie) Myers at a school dance. They married 6-21-52 and enjoyed 52 years together until his death in 2004. Together they had four children: Teri Goodwin (Billy), Mickie Hoem (Don), Jackie Havill, Tom Jr. (Laurie), 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Her first job was at the Roxy Theater as an usher until she married. After that she worked for her husband at the TB&M in Port Orchard. In 1970 they purchased Hi Joy Bowl and went on to build All Star Lanes in Silverdale and All Star Mini Storage in Belfair.
All Pat wanted was to be a mother and to keep her family close. She never missed a birth in our family and attended as many games and events as possible. She loved having her kids around and towards the end it was when we were all there with her that she would perk up and display her pleasure.
Friends and family will remember Pat for keeping an immaculate home, for her incredible work ethic, her love of playing cards, shopping, and as the little lady who jogged through Port Orchard into her 70’s. We will miss our best friend, cookie grandma and G.G.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In memory of Pat we ask that donations be made to support Hospice at Franciscan Foundation, P.O. Box 1502, Tacoma, WA 98401.
