Patricia Traylor

Patricia N. Traylor was born on November 19, 1941 to James Alfred Nelson and Elain Frances Nelson in Syracuse, New York. They then moved to Ft. Myers Florida where Patricia Traylor pursued her degree in nursing from the University of Miami where she met her husband Burl Traylor Jr. They were then married on February 27, 1965 and moved to Mobile, Alabama. In 1969 Patricia and Burl Adopted Mark S. Traylor on April 1st. In 1970 Patricia and Burl moved to Daytona Beach where she worked for Halifax Hospital as an R.N. floor nurse. On July 24th, 1974 Patricia gave birth to Matthew John Traylor. Patricia and her family then relocated to Starke, Florida in 1980 where she was a nurse for Bradford Hospital working the floor as a charge nurse, then moving into the E.R. and onto working as an Operating Nurse assisting in surgeries. Patricia later went to work in the Home health care field first as a nurse then into the administration department. Patricia was loved by all her patients and she had a deep understanding and care for them she was always well liked and treated every patient as if they were her family. Patricia retired in 1999 after being a nurse for 35 years. Once retired she spent time traveling seeing all her sisters and brothers and Aunts and Uncles spending time with them and enjoying her freedom with friends and family.

She loved life and she enjoyed spending time with her family and always wishing and trying to provide the best for them, giving them love and compassion no matter what, she enjoyed her grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them. Patricia relocated to Washington State in 2011 where she lived in her own apartment spending time with friend’s playing cards and Spanish train dominoes, going shopping in antique stores and visiting the mountains and such around Washington she also enjoyed going to church at Saint Gabriel catholic church in Port Orchard Washington. She was a devoted Catholic.

Survived by her son and wife Mark and Tonya Traylor lives in Port orchard Wa. son Matthew Traylor lives In Orange Park Fla. four Grandchildren Chelsea Thomas of phoenix, Az. And Arron Thomas of Port orchard Wa. Jessica Traylor and Christina Traylor of Starke Fla. brothers and wife's John Charles and Jean Nelson Birmingham, AL , Paul Gary and Leigh Nelson New Port Richey, FL , James Lacey and Cindy Nelson Fort Myers, FL , Sister and Husband Jill Kathryn and Fred (Nelson) Coleman Fort Myers, Fl.

Patricia Traylor went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 24, 2016 passing in her sleep quietly, Pat will be missed very dearly by all who loved her, she brought joy and love into every one’s life she touched and always put other first. Patricia you will be missed by friends. We love you mom and you will always have a place in our hearts.
