Patrick Durnin,

Patrick L. Durnin, Sr. died January 6, 2003 at his Gig Harbor, Washington residence. He was 76.He was born to Peter and Mary (Sims) Durnin August 20, 1926 in Portland, Oregon.Patrick served in the Navy Medical Corp from 1943 - 1946. He attained the Gallant Ship Unit Citation Bar April 1st 1965. He also served as a Merchant Seaman. He served a total of 42 years.He is a member of the Catholic Church.Patrick is survived by sons - Patrick Louis Durnin, Jr. of Gig Harbor, Washington and James Paul Durnin of Edmonds, Washington; daughters - Linda L. Smith of Phoenix, Arizona, Eileen McNulty of Scottsdale, Arizona and Margaret Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers - James J. Durnin of Phoenix, Arizona and John H. Durnin, Sr. of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren (Angela, Victoria, Stephanie, Aliza, James Jr., Brenna, Connor, Jennifer, James, Cathrine, Matthew) and 4 great-grandchildren (Cassandra, Michael, Jamie, Tyler). He was also preceded in death by Thomas P. Durnin.Services will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 1150 Mitchell Avenue, Port Orchard, Washington on January 11, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
