Paul A. Ganalon Sr., died on July 17, 2001 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Mr. Ganalon had been a resident of Port Orchard, Washington for the past sixty years.He was born on May 25, 1911 in the Philippine Islands to Simon Ganalon and Marcela Almoite(Ganalon). He married Lillian Ruales on October 19, 1965 in the Philippines. Mr. Ganalon was a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for eighteen years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.Mr. Ganalon was a member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.He is survived by his wife, Marcela; Sons, Paul Ganalon Junior and Egmedio Bucat, both of Bainbridge Island, Washington; daughter, Geralyn Gibson of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Helen Ulloa of Bainbridge Island; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Ganalon was preceded in death by two sisters, Victorina Calo and Gavina Almojuela of the Philippine Islands.Funeral arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington. Viewing will be held on Friday, July 20, 2001 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at the chapel at 7 p.m.. A memorial mass will be held at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church on Saturday, July 21, 2001, at 11 a.m.. A reception will follow at The China Sun Buffet Restaurant in Port Orchard. Inurnment will take place on Monday, July 23, 2001 at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
