Paul R. Jansen, 74 of Port Orchard, died January 28, 2013. He was born July 27, 1938 in Washington D.C. to Eugene & Lula (Boustead) Jansen. He graduated from Berkeley High School in Berkeley, CA and completed his Pipefitter Apprenticeship with the U.S. Navy in 1961. He married Barbara Walker in 1974 in Reno, NV.
Paul worked for 33 years as a Planner & Estimator Pipefitter in the San Francisco Bay Area and Kodiak, AK, retiring in 1993. He served in the U. S. Navy in 1950. He built and showed cars – judging car shows from Los Angeles to British Columbia in the 1980’s & 1990’s. He was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Washington Arms Collectors & NRA. Paul always had an improvement project underway around the house.
Surviving are his wife Barbara; daughters Cynthia of CA, Ruth (Rodney) Boyer of MN, Anita (Lynn) Stuart of WA, Debra (Jerry) Frederick of NV; sister (Jean (Charles) Huxsoll of CA; grandchildren Melissa & Jessica Stuart and Paige Johnson; and great-grandchild Claire Stuart.
