Mr Paul K. Parkhurst passed away on July 15Th 2019. He was born in Everett, WA on August 4th 1938 where he lived with his parents and sister until his family relocated to Puyallup, WA. He attended Puyallup High School until graduation in 1955. Paul married the love of his life Carol Phillips on September 26th 1964 and would have celebrated their 55th anniversary this year. He served in the US Army and National Guard from 1955 to 1962 when he separated as a Sergeant First Class. He became a certified audiologist and eventual manager of the hearing aid center at Costco in Silverdale until he retired. Paul and Carol resided in Port Orchard WA for 18 Years. He was an active member of the Christian Life Center in Port Orchard where he fostered lasting friendships. He was an enthusiastic model car collector and throughout the years built a vast collection of classic model cars. Additionally, he was an avid reader with a keen interest in history and biographies to which he devoted most of his spare time. Paul was also known for his witty and sometimes dry sense of humor, but most importantly he enjoyed life. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, his daughter Shawn Parkhurst Paton, grandsons Darnell Parkhurst, Kendall Wade, and Garrett Parkhurst. A private celebration of life is planned for close family members in September 2019.
