Paul Thompson passed away at Harrison Hospital, Bremerton, Washington on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. He was 79 years old.
Paul spent the majority of his life in Long Island, New York prior to moving to Port Orchard, Washington in 1997. Paul served in the United States Army for two years. He then worked at RCA Gobal Communications for almost 20 years. After working at Home Depot in Long Island for several years, he moved to Washington where his son was stationed in the United States Navy. Paul was an avid boater, computer/electronics enthusiast, and collector of antiquities.
Paul is survived by his wife, Maxine, son Michael, daughter-in-law Paula, grandchildren Marc, Matthew, Dustin, Shelby, Zachary and great-granddaughter Rowan. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy “Hank” and Genevieve “Jenny” Thompson and his brother, Lee Thompson.
A viewing will be held from noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17th at the Rill Chapel – Port Orchard, Washington. There will be a short memorial / reception following, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcomed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul’s name, to the National Kidney Foundation, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the Kitsap Humane Society.
