Paul Ward

Paul Douglas Ward, 51 of Port Orchard died February 27, 2009. He was born September 24, 1957 in Tacoma, WA to Barbara (McKinnon) Ward. He graduated from Evergreen HS in Seattle in 1975 and Green River Technical College in Auburn, WA in 1978.  Paul worked in construction for over 30 years all over western WA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1977.  Paul enjoyed the outdoor activities including skiing, four-wheeling, camping, skydiving, paintballing, motorcycle riding & mowing the lawn. He liked working on his property, his annual 4th of July parties, being with friends & family, playing pool, writing poetry and his dogs Shadow, Domino, Toby & Sammy. Surviving are companion Joyce Johnson & her son Adonis of Port Orchard; daughter Selena Rose (Travis) Ward-Porter of Port Orchard; mother Barbara Jean Ward of Mt. Vernon, WA; brothers Jim (Mary) Ward of Bellingham, WA and David Ward of Sedro Woolley, WA; sisters Corrine Sackman of Tacoma, WA, Terri (Ken) Terhaar of Mt. Vernon; Barbie (Sean) Bailey & Diana (Kevin) Smith, both of Spokane, WA; grandchildren Carissa Rose & Alexander Dean Porter; nieces & nephews Paul Terhaar, Arthur McKinnon, Desiree LeCroix, Windy Sackman, Heidi Ward, Brandi Grenier Josh & Hannah Bailey, Isaac, Chiara, Olivia & Giulia Smith, and Alex, Taylor, Joie & Kennedy McKinnon. Preceded in death by grandparents Charles & Ethel James.
