Pearson Charles Hillius, also known as "Pete", joined his parents Elton, and Stella Hillius, wife Martha Hillius, daughter Viki Perrault, and great granddaughter Sophia Byrd in heaven on March 19th, at the age of 81. Pete was born on August 19th 1933 in Bellingham, WA, to Elton Henry Hillius, and Stella Hillius. He graduated from Bellingham High. He married Martha Virginia Walker. He moved to Belfair Washington in 1985. He had a long career in the building material industry as a manager, and sales.
He survived by his sister Gertrude, daughter Jody and Pat Mcbride, son Andy, daughter Dena and Charlie Meigs, sons Sherman, Shawn, son Curtis and wife Pam Perrault. Grandchildren, Amanda and Jason Walther, Dan and Sarah Mcbride, Angela, Tyler, Kimblery, Natalie, Jessica and Justin Byrd, CJ and Juanita Perrault, Chad and Stephanie Perrault, Kyle, Carly. Great Grandchilden Kaylee, Hannah, Taylor, Coen, Connor, Olivia, Abby, Logan, Lucas,Will , Bree and Tanner.
Pete enjoyed breeding and showing his prize winning Bullmastiffs with his wife Marti. He loved coaching his sons in sports, and he enjoyed being around his family and friends.
Pete enjoyed country and western music, and soft rock. Pete was an active duty Air Force Veteran who fought in the Korean War in 1951-1954.
He will be truly missed by everyone.
A memorial is scheduled for 2pm on March 27th at Seventh Day Adventist church in Belfair Washington, 30 NE Beck Rd, Belfair WA 98528-8433. Charlie Meigs will be officiating the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pete's life.
