Penny was born on in Spokane, Washington to Clarence Edward and Ruby Julia (Adkins) Davis. The family moved to Port Orchard in 1946, where Penny attended school, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1963. She attended Olympic College prior to her marriage on May 20th, 1965, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
A 4H leader for many years, an avid horse lover as a teenager with her horse “Sunshine” and former board member and life member of Peninsula Dog Fanciers Club, Penny showed her love for animals and support for the people who owned and handled them throughout her life. Wherever Penny is now, she'll be welcomed, as she welcomed so many others with her kindness and love.
Penny is survived by her husband John B. Sundahl, daughter, Lauren D. Garland (Christopher), son, Ian E. Sundahl (Jessica), Grandsons; Christopher W. Garland, Myles M. Sundahl, Sullivan Sundahl, Granddaughters; Gabrielle and Chloe Garland, Paige Sundahl, step-granddaughter, Kaitlin Tisch, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the Davis Farm, 1710 NE Old Belfair Hwy, Belfair WA. on Sunday September 10th starting at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Kitsap Humane Society or the South Kitsap Helpline.
