Phil Carr

October 3, 1947 — April 14, 2012

Phil E. Carr, 64, a resident of Port Orchard, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born in Bremerton to Casper and Ella (Bacon) Carr on October 3, 1947. He graduated from SKHS in 1966. He fell in love with Monnievee in 1983 and they were married on February 14, 1992 at Retsil Chapel. He served in the US Navy from 1966 – 1970 achieving the rank of E-4/MM3 and was awarded various Viet Nam Campaign Medals. He later worked as a Real Estate Broker from 1971-79 and a car salesman from 1979 – 93 and RV salesman from 93 until mid-March. He loved traveling, snow skiing, boating, camping and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his loving wife Monnievee Carr; son Tim E. Carr (Sarah) of Tacoma; daughter Sandy Foltz (Teague) of Bremerton; sisters Carol Middleton (Tom) and Linda McDaniel (Bill); six grandchildren Kaila and Ashley Carr, A.J. and Cayden Carter, Derek and Dietrich Foltz. He was preceded in death by his brother Clifford ‘Bob’ Orr and sister Mary Nelson. Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 20, 2012 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center, 3:00 pm.
