Phillip Robbins, Col. (Ret.)

January 31, 1924 — August 15, 2007

Beloved husband, father and friend, Phillip Robbins passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 15, 2007. He leaves a legacy of honor, respect and love to all who knew him. Phillip was a highly decorated soldier, serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was recipient of the Silver Star, Soldier's Medal, Bronze Star for Valor, Air Medals, the French Croix de Guerre, Distinquished Service Order, Legion of Merit, and multiple Purple Hearts. A survivor of the Battle of the Bulge, he proudly served as President of the VBOB and belonged to the Port Orchard VFW. A master parachutist and linquist in his career, he was a loving husband, father and friend in his later life. Enjoying his home, historical pursuits and tending his vast garden of botanical treasures, he loved the simple life and packed more into each day than any ordinary man. He found the love of his life, Doris, 32 years ago. Their loving partnership became the inspiration and core of his world. He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by them all. At his request, no services will be held. Memorial donations can be made by bequest under the name of Phillip Robbins to the Kitsap Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Road NW, Silverdale WA 98383, (360) 692-6977. A celebration of Phillip's life will be posted at a later date.
