Philo R.W. Allen, 72 of Belfair, Washington died at Swedish Hospital in Seattle on January 9, 2007. He was born on September 17, 1934 in Prosser, Washington to Cyle & Eilene (Vincent) Allen. He married Jacquelyn Rae Clark on August 13, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Philo graduated from Cheney High School in Cheney, Washington. He attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Occupational Education from Southern Illinois University in Silverdale, Washington in 1985. Philo worked for Federal civil service for 33 years, retiring from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington in 1994. He began his career at the Naval Air Station, North Island in San Diego as an Apprentice Machnist and spent four years at Boeing in Seattle as a Computer Programmer before completing his civil service at PSNS. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1957 serving in the Korean Conflict. Philo was a man of great honor and love of God who lived the precepts of the Masonic order with cheerful service to all those around him. He was a Past Master of the Hood Canal Lodge 288 of F&AM and a member of the Fire District 2 Volunteer Firefighters Association in Belfair. Surviving are his wife Jackie; son Kerry Allen of Gig Harbor, Washington; daughters Jaye Morris of Port Orchard and Wendy (Kevin) Fuller of Tualatin, Oregon; brothers Rhio (Pat) Allen of Des Moines, Iowa and Rhico (Connie) Allen of Port Orchard; grandchildren Ryan Harrell, Erin Harrell, Kristina Allen, Jessica Allen, and Ashley Fuller; and great-grandchild Caylee Harrell. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Belfair Masonic Center in Belfair, Washington.
