Phyllis Foyston

Phyllis J. Foyston, Age: 79, resident of Manchester, Washington, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton on January 17, 2002.Phyllis had been born on June 1, 1922, in Bremerton, Washington, to Richard and Delphine(Merchant)Palmer. She attended and graduated from Bremerton High in 1940. In 1974 Phyllis married Mr. Corbett P. Foyston. Mr. Foyston preceded her in death in 2001.Phyllis worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton as a Secretary, and also for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Seattle.She loved music and formerly sang with the "Puget Soundsters" of Bremerton.Phyllis is survived by a step-daughter, Paula Baruffi of Bellevue, Washington; a sister, Helen McCallum of Port Orchard; and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corbett, a brother, Wayne Palmer, and a sister, Martha Rapp.Private inurnment is scheduled at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle. All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
