Phyllis J. Van Buskirk died March 24, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace of Port Orchard, Washington. She was 75.She was born July 1, 1927 in Cottonwood, Idaho to George and Lena Reed.She attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington.Phyllis married Warren Van Buskirk in Port Orchard, Washington in 1974.She worked as a cook for the state ferry system for 20 years - retiring in 1987.Phyllis enjoyed quilting, ceramics, baking sweets and breads (pies/cookies), flower and vegetable gardening.She is survived by sons - William Leurquin of Ocean Shores, Washington and Bradley Leurquin of Seabeck, Washington; daughters - Debra Koeneman of Port Orchard, Washington and step-daughter Carol Northfield - also of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Lyle Reed of south Seattle, Washington; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Van Buskirk and by her brother, Kenneth Reed.A graveside service will be held at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, March 28, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to:Susan G.
