Ralph Carragher

January 27, 1941 — September 12, 2009

Ralph James Carragher, 68 of Bremerton, died in Silverdale on September 12, 2009.  He was born January 27, 1941 in Brooklyn New York  to William & Margaret (Braun) Carragher.  He married Doris L. LaPierre on December 5, 1970 in Hudson New York. Ralph worked for 28 years as a Boiler Plant Operator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 2007.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962 as an A2C, receiving the Good Conduct Medal. Ralph enjoyed traveling to the ocean and taking the ferry to Victoria BC.  He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and spending time down at his pond.  He was a member of the NRA and the Moose Lodge in New Year. Surviving are his wife Doris; son Shawn (Shari) Carragher; daughters Kelly (Josh Black) Gillette & Bernadette (Greg) DeFord; brothers William (Fusako) Carragher; nephews Daniel & Robert; grandchildren Brandi, Daniel, Brittainy, Kyle, Kyra, John & Christie; great-grandchildren Maddison & Shanel.  He was preceded in death by brothers Harold & Arthur. Memorial service at 1:30pm on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
