Ralph Landis

Ralph G. Landis, age 78, died April 12, 2000 in Bremerton, WA.  He was born June 21, 1921 in Pasadena, CA., to Arthur and Erma (Crittenden) Landis.  He was raised in Long Beach, CA and graduated from John Dewey High School in Long Beach in 1939.He married Evelyn (Jones) Landis on May 30, 1947 in Long Beach, CA.  Mr. Landis served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945.  He served as a sergeant in England during WWII as an aircraft mechanic.He was employed with the city of Long Beach, CA., in the automobile division as a mechanic for 30 years before retiring in 1977.Mr. Landis was a member of the Presbterian Church in Long Beach, CA.  He is survived by his wife Evelyn Landis of Port Orchard, WA., sons Allan Landis of Tampa, FL., Mark Landis of Capistrano Beach, CA., daughters Linda Fox of Port Orchard, WA., Carol Garcia of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and grandchildren Brian Fox, Brent Fox, Michelle Fox, Christina Garcia, Joshua Landis, and Jacob Landis.Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, WA.
