Ralph D. Mcdowell

Ralph Donald McDowell was born at Fort Bragg on January 3, 1959 to Donald G. and Virginia R. McDowell. He attended and graduated from Fortuna High School in 1978.

Ralph had a very intense fascination with trucks from a very early age, but joined the Coast Guard shortly after high school. After serving in the United States Coast Guard, he followed his early passion of truck driving. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. His devotion to the Green Bay Packers made him a true die-hard fan even when they had a bad year.

He almost always had one or two dogs with him on the road. Ralph was a good friend to have and continued a close friendship with his ex-wife, Rhonda McDowell and stepdaughter Serria Watts.

Ralph remained true to his love and passion of truck driving until his unexpected death on August 20th, 2015. Ralph passed away peacefully to be with our Lord and joined his father, Donald G. McDowell, and his mother, Virginia McDowell who preceded him in death.

Ralph leaves behind his sister Kathleen Rose Evans, brother-in-law Robert Karl Evans of El Paso, Texas and three nieces, and sister Jody Marie McKenzie.

Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery also in Port Orchard.
