Ralph Wilkin

Ralph C. Wilkin, 89 and formerly of Port Orchard, died at the Lighthouse Adult Family Home in Kennewick, Washington on November 3, 2000. He was born on December 21, 1910 in Hillsboro, Ohio to Karl & Anna (Paley) Wilkin. Ralph married Evelyn Tyner in Yakima, Washington on Decemeber 27, 1942. She preceded him in death in 1989.Mr. Wilkin worked as a Log Yard Foreman for Pope & Talbot in Sequim, Washington, retiring in 1975. He also worked as an Electrician at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard during World War II. Ralph was an avid golfer and a member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church.Surviving are sons Ralph C. Wilkin, Jr. of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Richard W. Wilkin of Fallbrook, California, Harry D. Wilkin of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Paul G. Wilkin of Selah, Washington; daughters Phyllis Hotman of Riverside, California, Edna Ylinen of Lynden, Washington, Mary George of Seattle, Washington, and Martha Cole of Pasco, Washington; brother William Wilkin of Bothel, Washington; sister Helen Murphy of Mesa, Arizona; 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Harold and sisters Margaret & Mildred.Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Monday, November 6, 2000 from Noon to 5:00pm and Tuesday, November 7, 2000 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Funeral Service will be at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church in Bremerton on Wednesday, November 8th at 11:00am. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
