Ray Moreau

Ray Edward Moreau, 71, died at his home in Port Orchard on February 9, 1999.  He was born September 28, 1927 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Elmer & Alice (Pokel) Moreau.  Mr. Moreau was raised in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1946.  He married Joyce E. Norman March 1, 1952 in Port Orchard.  Ray served in the U.S. Army in Korea and during World War II.  He worked for 35 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the Sheetmetal Shop retiring in 1983.Surviving are his wife of 46 years; daughters Beverly (Bert) Pickard and Marilyn (Skip) Buckner; sisters Shirley Ambrose & Janet Elledge both of Issaquah, WA, and Carol Tiedemann of Brier, WA; grandchildren Ryan Pickard of Bremerton and Jesse Buckner of Port Orchard.  Memorial Service February 15, 1999 at 11:00 AM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.  Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.  Memorials to Hospice of Kitsap County, 3100 Bucklin Hill Road #101, Silverdale, WA 98383 or charity of choice.
