Raymond Foster

April 7, 1918 — February 18, 1999

Raymond 'Scott' Foster, 80, died at his home in Bellingham, Washington on February 18, 1999.  He was born April 7, 1918 in Sumner, Washington to John & Ivy (Bock) Foster.  He graduated from Sumner High School in 1935 and attended Pacific Lutheran College in Tacoma, Washington. Scott married Jerry Marie Cassedy April 24, 1943 in Monterey, California.  She preceded him in death. Mr. Foster served in the U. S. Navy from 1936 to 1966 as a Cheif Warrant Officer on various ships, receiving many service medals including American Defense Service, American Area Service, Asiatic-Pacific Service, World War II Victory, Navy Occupation Service, China Service, and Philippine Liberation.  He was a Ham Operator, Lifetime Member of VFW #2669, Member of Port Orchard Eagles, Bellingham Big Brothers/Sisters, Ferndale Band Boosters, American Battleship Association, and others.Surviving are daughters Myea Davis of Bellingham, WA and JoAnne Foster; grandchildren Wayne Davis of Rumford, ME and Connie Raezer of Lacey, WA; 4 great-grandchildren.  Memorials to Children's Hospital Foundation, P.
