Raymond Heaney

Raymond B. Heaney, 64, died at his home in Port Orchard on February 8, 1999.  He was born in Cascade, Montana on March 9, 1934 to Bernard & Pauline (Paulson) Heaney.  Since the age of 6, he was raised in California.  Mr. Heaney married Mary K. (Kraus) in Reno, Nevada on May 30, 1970.  He served in the U. S. Navy as a Radarman from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.  Raymond spent 9 years with K-2 Ski Company on Vashon Island and recently worked as a Greeter for Walmart.  He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.Surviving are his wife; sons Michael Heaney of Ukiah, California and William Heaney of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother James Heaney of Santa Rosa, California; and grandchildren Brian & Christopher Heaney of Ukiah, California.A celebration of Mr. Heaney's life is planned at a later date.  Memorials to American Cancer Society, Kitsap Unit, P.
