Live Life with NO Regrets Silverdale - Reginald "Keith" Curtiss died Saturday April 24, 2010 at the Hospice of Kitsap County, following a long, aggressive and valiant struggle with cancer. Born in Portland, OR, June 10, 1927, to Royal Haskell and Nellie Brown Curtiss, Keith attended Rogers High School and then Gonzaga University. A veteran of WWII and decorated veteran of the Korean War, Keith was thankful to return to civilian life and continue with his love of flying. This took many forms, including crop-dusting, aerobatics, and finally bush pilot in Alaska for Wien Air Alaska. He continued working for Wien and retired as a Boeing 737 Captain in 1983. After retirement from the airlines, Keith started a commercial construction and development company and was involved in many projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. He was an avid outdoor adventurer and enjoyed skydiving, sailing, fly-fishing, sled dog racing and many RV road trips with his much loved wife, Jacqui and beautiful Golden Retriever "Penny." His love of music, particularly jazz, was evident by the joyful way he twirled Jacqui on the dance floor. Keith's mantra was "live life with no regrets," and he proved that by embracing all that life had to offer. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jacqui, his son Kie Curtiss and wife Janet, his son Bud Curtiss and wife Sandy; grandchildren Adam, Amy, Kei, Koby and Riley; great-grandchildren Ryan and Keilee. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 30th, 2010 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. A memorial fund has been established at Hospice of Kitsap County. A separate Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday, June 10th, at the Museum of Flight.
