Renee Adrianna Contreras King

January 12, 1988 — December 18, 2015

On the morning of 12/18/15, Renee King, beloved daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, co-worker and so much more passed away in her apartment in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was born 1/12/88 in San Jose, CA. She entered into the King family a week before her 4th birthday, finding her forever home. She spent her early years in Alameda, CA before her family moved to Washington. She grew into a strong, bright, confident young lady. In high school she was an active member of DECA and FFA., and never missed a school-sponsored social event. She graduated from South Kitsap High School and Highline Community College. While attending South Kitsap High School she also attended West Sound Technical Center, graduating from the program with honors. She played many sports through her school years, but was a standout soccer player, having started playing the sport at age 4. She was attending the University of Nevada at Las Vegas at the time of her passing, working toward her lifelong goal of owning her own inn.

Renee could light up a room with her sparkling personality, beautiful smile and warm heart. She was a generous soul who cared deeply about other humans. The three causes she was most passionate about were ending homelessness, breast cancer awareness and the cessation of human trafficking. Renee was a city girl at heart and always felt most at home under the bright lights of the Bay Area and Las Vegas. She was a fashionista who loved sky-high heels, leopard print and never even went to the gas station without full make-up.

Renee treasured her family above all else. She is survived by her father Richard King; her mother Connie King; her siblings Traci Gould (Marc Gould), Daniel King, (Melissa King), DeAnna Young (Randall Young), Richard King and Angelina King (her biological sister, also adopted by the King family); her grandmothers Betty Costas and Margaret Hernandez; her grandfather Carlos Hernandez; her aunts and uncles Michael and Barbara Costas, Paul and Pam King, and Marji Singleton; her great uncle and aunt Ace and Mary Aguero; and her cousins Hollie Costas (Ronald Green), Jesse Trujillo (Nayomie Richards) and Michael Trujillo. She was a beloved aunt to Katrianna, Christina, and Ciara King; Kelsie and Justin Gould; Arya Young; Jade Anderson; and Ronald and Lukas Green. She was a devoted fur-mom to her cherished pug Walter. Although separated from her biological siblings Ernesto, Celeste, Maya, Raymond, Krystal, Kiana, and Geoffrey, they remained close to her heart. She also leaves behind hundreds of beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather George Costas, her grandmother Virginia King, her uncle Lawrence King and her precious fur-baby FiFi.
