Rhonda Desmond

Rhonda Desmond, 55 of Port Orchard, died in Tacoma on January 28, 2011.  She was born December 28, 1955 in Bremerton, WA to Donald & Merceda (Sihrer) Olson.  She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1974 and married Dennis Desmond on August 28, 1985 in Bremerton. Rhonda worked for 20 years as Receiving Manager for Home Depot and Ernst Home Center.  She also worked for Longs Drugs.  She retired in 2002.  She advocated and participated in the Susan G. Komen Charity for Breast Cancer Research, Kitsap humane society, and local food banks.  She was an avid Mariners fan. Surviving are husband Dennis; Mother Merceda Olson of Port Orchard; son Donald Desmond of Port Orchard; brother Don (Patty) Olson of Bremerton; sister Debbie (Rudy) Werle of Federal Way.  She was preceded in death by father Donald and brother Roger Olson. Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 pm on February 4, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard at Noon on Monday, February 7, 2011.
