Richard Bailey

Richard Allen Bailey died December 31, 2003 in Bremerton, WA. He was born September 10, 1940 in Park Rapids, MN., to Manford and Edith Bailey. Mr. Bailey graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA., in 1958. He married Shirley Irvine on March 3, 1962. He was a pipe fitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 28 1/2 years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Bailey enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors, watching college football, and he was a big Husky fan. He also enjoyed driving cars for Grey Chevrolet and spending time in the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Shirley of the family home in Port Orchard, WA., his son Dan Bailey of Bremerton, WA., daughter Megan and husbnd Bryon Carr of Chandler, AZ., sister Blanch Guerin of S. Whitley, IN., sister Jean and husband Buster Eischens of Tacoma, WA., and sister Delores and husband Don Anderson of Federal Way, WA. Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his brother Donald Bailey. Memorial services will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA., on January 7, 2004 at 3:00 p.m.
