Richard Brose

Richard Milton Brose, 81 of Port Orchard, Washington died in Bremerton, Washington on February 28, 2005. He was born on October 14, 1923 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Otto & Marion (Till) Brose. He graduated from high school in Minnesota in 1940. Richard married Patsy McCleod on August 22, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Brose worked as a Sheet Metal Mechanic at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton for 34 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 to 1945 as an E-6 Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanic. Richard was an avid horseman and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Surviving are sons Bill (Barbara) Brose of Bremerton, Richard (Sherry) Brose, Jr. of Winthrop, Washington, and Kenneth Brose of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Delores Murphy of Port Orchard and Marjorie Himelwright; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Douglas Brose. Graveside service will be March 4, 2005 at 2:00pm at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
