Richard Houk

Richard W. Houk died October 4, 2002 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington of Muscular Dystrophy. He was 50.He was born July 27, 1952 in San Diego, California to Warren and Margaret (Brown) Houk.He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1970.Richard served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War.He was employed for 20 years with K2 Ski Corporation on Vashon Island where he made snow skies. He retired in 1990.Richard enjoyed bowling, Bingo and Keno.He is survived by his father Warren Houk and step-mother Doris Houk of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers - David Houk of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Warren Houk, Jr. of Tacoma, Washington.
