Richard Keeling

August 11, 1943 — February 7, 2009

Richard Lee Keeling, 65, of Bremerton, Washington, died in his home February 7th, 2009 after a courageous battle with bone cancer.  He was born August 11th, 1943 in Guthrie, OK to Grover and Virginia Keeling. Rick was an accomplished Machinist, who began sharpening his craft as a young man during his military service in the U.S. Navy.  He worked for Ben’s Precision Instruments in Tacoma for the last twelve years hand crafting precise, intricate surgical tools for the medical community.  Rick loved music, fishing, writing poetry, gardening, and baking. The biggest part of his life was sharing it with his wife of 26 years, Pat.  She meant the world to him in so many ways, as partner, a friend and as his soul mate. He is survived by his beloved wife Pat, his parents, Grover and Virginia Keeling, three brothers, Bart, Tim, and Terry, daughters Rachelle and Amber, his step daughters, Sheila and Liz, granddaughters Rochelle, Brandy and Tysha and his great granddaughter Hailey.  He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis. Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Friday February 13th, 2009 at Rill Chapel at 1151 Mitchell Avenue. Port Orchard.
