Richard Mirador

Richard I. Mirador died October 18, 2002 at Washington Veteran's Home in Retsil, Washington. He was 94.He was born June 3, 1908 in the Philippine Islands to Mariano and Leocadia (Mira) Mirador.He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946, attaining rank of Staff Sergeant.Richard married Celerina (Daffon) Mirador January 4, 1950 in the Philippine Islands.He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington for several years retiring in 1972.He was a member of various Filipino-American Clubs and VFW.Richard was a member of Knights of Columbus.He is survived by daughters - Alice Linsao and Julie Pulk of Port Orchard, Washington, Lavinia Wright of Bremerton, Washington, Caroline Moldovan of Burien, Washington, Mary Plunk of Bothell, Washington and Evelyn Jenkins of Corvallis, Oregon.He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and, was preceded in death by daughter - Rachel.A Rosary will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington Thursday, October 24, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, October 25, 2002, at 10:00 a.m.Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery, also of Port Orchard, Washington, on October 25, 2002.Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
