Richard Ray Nohrenberg

June 27, 1953 — February 27, 2021

Richard was born June 27th, 1953 in Bremerton, Washington. He attended grade school in Port Orchard and Twisp, graduating from South Kitsap High School.

He spent all of his adult life in the Port Orchard - Olalla area except for two years in Arizona where he worked as an undercover investigator. For his occupation, he worked as a carpenter for Galla Builder and then independently, until retiring.

He enjoyed family get togethers and reunions. He liked dressing up for Halloween. His favorite activities for pleasure were hunting, fishing and sailing – and mountain hiking. He survived Mt. St. Helen’s eruption. He won a prize at KC fair for his wine making. He also loved Classical music. In his retirement years, he started raising roses.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Orley Nohrenberg, sister Linda and brother Ronald. He is survived by his mother Gloria, sister Donna Barnes and her husband Edward Barnes, his nieces Angela and her husband Tim Gaston, Rebecca Hogan and her husband Ryan, nephews Kurt Nohrenberg and wife Sue, Ted Nohrenberg and wife Orawan, Ed Barnes, Justin Nohrenberg and wife Kathleen and six great nephews and nieces and his former wife Cindy Nohrenberg and her sons, Josh and Hunter Blackburn.

Graveside services will be 1pm April 12th at Sunset Lane Cemetery. In place of flowers, please donate to the local foodbank or favorite charity.
