Born: June 16, 1943 Died: December 26, 2009 Dick was preceded in death by parents, John & Marguerite Reischman; brother, Jack Reischman; brother in law, Stu Marks. He is survived by siblings; Janice (Jerry) Ostrem, Montana; Steve (Jeannie) Reischman, Port Orchard; Alice (Chuck) Esler, Grapeview; Vicki (Dave) Ertler, Rosedale and numerous nieces & nephews. Dick worked and retired from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard after 25 years of dedicated work as a mail carrier. During that time he received numerous awards for his commitment to the job. His interests included family gatherings, holidays, sports, visiting neighbors, landscaping, puzzles, agate hunting and clam digging. Dick also enjoyed his “hot chocolate” as a faithful member of the morning group at the Grapeview fire hall. He assisted on other projects including recycling and helped with the construction of the new community center. He was the Grapeview watchman for neighbors’ properties, keeping an eye out when neighbors were away. As an active member of Prince of Peace Church, he volunteered as an usher. Following Sunday services, he enjoyed breakfast with church members. A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair, Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair.
