Rita Brignone

Rita Brignone, 85, of Port Orchard, died June 19th at Forest Ridge Health & Rehab in Bremerton. Rita was born March 5, 1922 in Tunis, Tunisia, North Africa to Ignace & Lucie Gilardi. On April 13, 1943 she married Pierre Brignone in North Africa. Rita was a seamstress working together with her husband Pierre in his Tailor business. He died in 1974 and she retired in 1985. Rita was an avid crochet & knitter and loved to read French Novels, sometimes reading the same novels over & over. She was also a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter Genevieve Holen & husband Greg, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren & nieces & nephews in Europe. She was preceded in death by a son Patrick Brignone in 2005 and two sisters Rosaire Gilardi in 2004 & Lina Warton in 2006. A Memorial Service will be 12 noon on Wednesday, June 27th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. An on-line Memorial can be viewed & signed at www.rill.com .
