Rita Ann Morton

There is a party in Heaven today! There is dancing & singing as our precious mother joins her family that has passed on before her at the feet of our Savior Jesus Christ. Her lifelong desire of being with Jesus has finally come true!

Her life began in December of 1934. She grew up on a farm learning to garden and love animals. Sure would have been a sight to see little Rita riding a big o’plow horse with her dog Shep following along! As a teen, she was the wild child of Bremerton. She loved to drive fast. Hot Rod Rita! Even as she grew up, she was surrounded by adventure. From motorcycle riding, hang-gliding, white-water river rafting, diving, horseback riding, swimming, or sailing the ocean blue, Rita Ann lived life. But no matter what earthy adventure called, the call of loving and sharing Jesus was always stronger. She did her best to share God with everyone she knew. She taught us to love God no matter what the situation here on earth. Heaven awaits us when we give our lives to Him and strive to keep Him first. She did her best and let God do the rest. Through all the thrills in life she finally found her peace when she married her childhood best friend & love, Paul Morton. With God first in their lives she was able to go into full time ministry, fully sharing with others the true salvation message, the love of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her 4 children, Paula Morton-Listle, Robert Dodd, Sally Bryan and Jackie LaPlante as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and more friends than we can name.

We rejoice through our heartbreak knowing Jesus welcomed her with open arms and on 12-20-23 and said; Well done my good and faithful servant.

We wonder if Jesus said…Hang on everybody; Rita is finally here!
