Robert Belcher

Robert John Belcher, 73, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on June 3, 2000. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 26, 1927 to George W. & Nadine (Spears) Belcher. Robert married Alberta Mae Rowe on May 14, 1987 in Big Bear, California. She preceded him in death in 1996.Robert worked for numerous years as a Truck Driver. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and a supporter of animal rights.Surviving are grandchildren Sam Porter of Washington and Elizabeth Porter of California; neice Deborah Lien of Los Angeles, California; and sister Alma Hughes of Tipton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by daughter Linda Porter and son Robert George Belcher.Funeral Service will be Monday, June 12, 2000 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard at 1:00 PM. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton.
