Robert Joseph "Bob" Vargo, 69 of Port Orchard, Washington died in Bremerton , Washington on February 21, 2007. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 2, 1937 to John W. & Eunice E. (Moore) Vargo. Bob married Helen Anne Muench. Bob graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1955 and attended Seattle University. He retired in 1993 after more than 29 years as an Electrician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He also delivered newspapers for the Kitsap Sun and Port Orchard Independent. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. Bob enjoyed collecting unique items of questionable value. He drove for Chuck Wagon and Catholic Community Services in Bremerton. He was a member of Knights of Columbus-St. Elizabeth Seton Council #6706. Surviving are his wife Helen; son Rob (Felicia Korsmo) Vargo of Poulsbo, Washington; daughter Mary F. (Steven) Allen of Gig Harbor, Washington; brother Richard Wallace (Louise) Vargo of Tacoma; sister Juanita (Bob) Hill of Sun River, Oregon; and grandchildren Todd, Paige Mikaeyla, Stevie, Robbie, Chris, Pvt. Jacob, & Ian. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2007 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Interment will follow the service at 3:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma.
