Robert C. Carlson was born to Carl and Loretta Carlson on April 12, 1928 in Anaconda, Montana. He passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 25, 2015 in Bremerton Washington.
His family moved to Bremerton in September 1940. Bob graduated from Bremerton High School where he played football and played the trumpet in band. He really enjoyed playing the trumpet; in fact he carried it with him everywhere he went, even when he and his brother Jim hitchhiked to and from school every day.
He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952, 18 months of which he served in the Korean War. Bob belong to Company B 140th Tank BN.
Bob married Betty Corbit on April 15, 1958 they were married for 45 years. Dad loved to spend time tending to the vegetable garden every spring and summer with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always has a smile on his face when he was with them. Bob worked as an auto body repair man for Hazelwood and Buick for many years before retiring. He always fixed everyone’s dents except the ones on his own vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his brother Jack, who served in WWII, his Father Carl, and his Mother Loretta. He is survived by his, brother Jim Carlson his wife Marlyn their children Jim Jr, his son Connor, Steve and Kristin, Sons Richard, his wife Laura, Sons Bob and John, his wife Georgia and daughter Cindy, 17 Grandchildren: Rosemary, Rebecca, Rita, Roxanne, Jeffery, Robby, Chris, Richard, Pauline, Daryl, Sean, Victoria, John, Joshua, Jenifer, Nicole, Austin, and 20 great grandchildren.
Dad was known to be a very funny man. Everyone loved him. He will be missed by all his friends and family.
