Robert J. Casey, 89, passed away peacefully in Port Orchard with his family by his side on Friday, February 24, 2012. He was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on January 1, 1923 to James and Mabel Casey. Robert is survived by his second wife, Jacqueline; sons Dennis (Rose), Mark (Tina); daughters Maureen Jacobs (Bob), Sharon Barauskis (Thom), Marian Brust (Dave), Shelia McCall (Greg), Colleen Scott; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of forty nine years, Elaine. Bob served his country during World War II by flying 31 bombing missions over Europe in B-24s. He was awarded numerous medals, including The Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart. Ever quick with a smile and a laugh, Bob loved his family and especially loved to tease his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A vigil service will be held at Rill"s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Monday, February 27 at 6 PM, with a small reception following. A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair on Tuesday, February 28 at 1 PM.
