Bob was born in Duluth, Minnesota, the only child of Art and Sadie Coning. Bob grew up in Duluth, attending Denfeld High School where he met the love of his life, Enid Baldwin. They married in 1957 and built a home in Duluth while Bob was selling insurance and Enid worked at St. Lukes Hospital.
They started a family in February of 1962 and then moved to Seattle to work for Boeing in June of 1962. Bob worked at Boeing until he retired in 1999. Bob and Enid joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church as members in 1962. Bob was President, Treasurer and “Handyman” for Prince of Peace forever. It was a passion.
Bob was a family man through and through. He was happiest with family by his side. Family would vacation in Maui, their beloved Benson Lake, and a took a few trips to Disneyland to spice things up. Bob loved being at his home on Somerset Lane, close to his kids and grandkids, best of all.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Enid Baldwin Coning, two daughters; Robyn Shultz (Robert), Mary Colts (Randall), three grandchildren; Amelia Mae Colts, Maria Lena Colts, Nicholas Thayne Schultz, one great-granddaughter Allison Mae Gracia.
