Robert Ehlert

Robert Stephen Ehlert, age 65, born August 25, 1944 to Donald and Gloria Ehlert.  In the comfort of his home with his wife Ralma Ehlert by his side, he entered eternal life on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.  Bob and Ralma married over 21 years on August 8, 1988.    Bob shared a life of adventure with his wife Ralma.  Together they cruised, drove and flew throughout much of North and Central America.  They were also involved in oyster farming, raising emus, foster parenting youth, and hauling Christmas trees.  He retired from pipefitting with the Union, Local 26 in Bremerton.  Bob went fishing for salmon and halibut every chance he got, which gave him ample supply of fish and stories for hosting his family and friends.  He was a man of strong character and integrity.  As a Christian man he spoke of his love for Christ.  He touched our lives and we will truly miss him and his smoked salmon.   Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald. His wife Ralma and brothers William, Harold and Danny survive him.  All his children Debbie, Steve, Dawn, Ryan and Janelle also survive him with his 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Join us in celebrating his life at the funeral service held at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard at 10:30 am on Friday, April 9, 2010.  The burial will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park. Online memorial at www.rill.com
