Robert Lewis Erdmann, 77 of Port Orchard, Washington died at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington on July 10, 2006. He was born in Burbank, Washington on December 6, 1928 to Fred and Edith (Pitt) Erdmann. He married B. Marie Clausen July 15, 1950 in Spokane, Washington. Robert graduated from Columbia High School in Tri-Cities, Washington in 1946 and Washington State University in Pullman, Washington in 1950. He attended Columbia University in New York and attained a PhD in Psychology and Certified Clinical Nutritionist. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1959 where he served as an Intelligence Research Officer. Robert worked as a Clinical Nutritionist for 25 years in the United States and Sweden. He worked with alternative health solutions for difficult health problems. He received a "Noble Bell" award in Alternative Medicine in Sweden and was the only non-Swede to receive the award. He was also a Humanist Counselor. Robert was a member of South Kitsap Rotary; Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce; American Psychological Association; and Clinical Nutritionist Association. Robert was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed playing bridge, dancing; and playing with his grandchildren - he said he was never going to grow up. Surviving are his wife; son Rodney Erdmann (Barbara) of Lafayette, California; daughters Lisa Shock (Will) of Cocolalla, Idaho, Ann Riner (Rob) of Silverdale, Washington, and Margo Emau (Peter) of Bainbridge Island, Washington; brother Dr. Percy Erdmann (Fran) of Othello, Washington; grandchildren Cole and Parker Erdmann, David & Tracy Shock; Aaron, Jessica & Michael Riner; John, Andrew & Elizabeth Emau. He was preceded in death by brother Phil Erdmann.
