Robert Gilbert

Robert T. Gilbert, 53, died at his home in Grapeview, Washington on June 4, 2007. He was born November 1, 1953 in Corona, California to George & Lila (Botkin) Gilbert. Robert married Cheryl Smalley on May 28, 1980 in Port Orchard, Washington. Robert graduated from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington with an Associates Degree in Engineering. He owned and operated his own trucking business for 12 years in Grapeview. He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class at Travis Air Force Base. Robert loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He also loved his dog Sway very much. He was a born again Christian. Surviving are wife Cheryl M. Gilbert; sons Justin & Elijah Gilbert; daughter Kendra Gilbert, Catherine Gilbert (Joe Stephanik); and six grandchildren. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
